A:

VALET PARKING:  We offer valet parking only.  When arriving with a vehicle, guests should pull up in the hotel loading zone right in front of the hotel.  There are signs indicating it as a “10 minute loading zone”.  Once you have parked in the loading zone, please check~in at the front desk.  Once you have checked in and unloaded your vehicle, simply leave your keys with the front desk agent.  Your car will be valeted to our lot.  Upon check out, or when you need your car, please give the front desk agent at least 20 minutes notice, and your vehicle will be returned to the loading zone.  Our lot is located approximately 3 blocks away and is off street, fenced, and locked. 

ACCESSING YOUR VEHICLE:  If you have left something in your vehicle, you can always access it.  Please keep in mind it is a 3+ block walk to the lot, so we recommend that you double check your vehicle before having it parked. 

FEES: 

NON-SPECTIAL EVENTS:  $38 per vehicle per night during “NON-special event” times.

SPECIAL EVENTS:  New Orleans hosts many special events.  During these times our parking fee is $50 per vehicle per night.  (Special events include, though are not limited to:  Mardi-Gras, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, Essence Fest, Decadence Fest, Halloween/Voodoo Fest, New Years, & Sugar Bowl)

OVERSIZED VEHICLES, such as large pick up trucks, full size vans, hummers, etc have a surcharge of an additional $7.00 per vehicle per night ($45 during “NON-SPECIAL EVENTS, and $57 During SPECIAL EVENTS). 

“IN & OUT” parking is available; however, we request that you give us as much advanced notice as possible in order to avoid an extended wait time.  As we do not have a 24 hour valet, If you plan to use your vehicle after 5 pm, please let us know prior to 5 pm, if possible. 

SELF-PARKING:  For guests wishing to self-park, there are options a few blocks away.  We will be happy to direct you to lots where you may park yourself, although these are not connected to the hotel in any way, and we cannot guarantee pricing.  Typically, their fees are comparable to ours. 

MOTORCYCLES:  We will be happy to make special arrangements for motorcycle parking, with advanced notice.  We do not valet motorcycles.  The fee is $25 per night. 

TRAILERS:  We do not have facilities to accommodate trailers, however, with advanced notice, we will be happy to assist with locating trailer parking. 

A: Yes. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner that allows guests to control the temperature in their room.

A: We offer complimentary high speed internet access in all guest’s rooms and common spaces. See an associate or your in-room welcome letters for the password.

A: Although the Olivier House does have a pool, unfortunately is will be closed the entire 2018 season. We suffered a limited fire in November of 2017, caused by a carelessly discarded cigarette. As a result, we are renovating a section of the hotel, which includes the swimming pool area. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. We anticipate our pool reopening around the end of the year. It is a small outdoor pool, and it is NOT heated.

A: The Olivier House is now “NON-SMOKING”, (except for specifically designated smoking area). 

This includes smoking of any type (with the singular exception of vaping).

PLEASE NOTE:  OUR SMOKING POLICY HAS RECENTLY CHANGED:

Every room in the Olivier House is NON-SMOKING.  Although we previously allowed smoking on balconies and outdoor areas, this policy was recently changed due to an extensive fire which was caused by a guests cigarette being carelessly discarded. 

As the historic Olivier House is very old and has many wooden elements, fire hazard is significant, as we sadly experienced recently.  As a result, we have made all of our balconies and exterior spaces “NON-SMOKING”.

SMOKING AREA:  We have allowed for one exception to the “Non-Smoking” policy, in that we allow smoking on the front portion of our main courtyard ONLY.  Smoking anywhere else on the property may result in a smoking fee of $150, in addition to any related cleaning or repair costs.

A: There is no restaurant or bar in the hotel, however we are located in the center of the French Quarter and there are hundreds of options just steps from our door. Visit our local resource map to explore your options.

A: There is an ATM located in the lobby. There is $3.50 service charge.

A: No. The city of New Orleans runs a shuttle to and from the airport, however we recommend parties of 2 or more take a taxi. Visit airportshuttleneworleans.com for more information.
